Fun First Day of Riding!

For Christmas Ryder got the new Tony Hawk 14"Bike and he is in love!!  Think I might be in trouble!  So we sis all the safety checks and fixed everything so he would be safe and understand what a bike is for.  He was so excited to see that the bike has brakes, even more excited that it has three brakes!! Front hand brakes, back hand breaks and the pedal breaks, now he can stop before going down the hill!

We take off for his first ride and away he goes.  I had to jog to keep up, but lucky i was there because he started to go down the hill and totally forgot about all the brakes and started to put his feet down. I reached over and helped him before he started to fall.  I laughed and asked him why he didn't use the breaks?  He looked at me and said under his breath that he forgot and got scared!  The poor little man. Daddy reassured him that he would be there to help until he wants to be by himself. Little did I know that would be in a minute!  Ryder took off faster than I could keep up and he never looked back. Now he rides it like he was born on it.  Ahh the days of no worries and falling down is OK.


Now after a nap we are off to Harry Potter.  We will talk more about this tomorrow.
